Sweetheart. Many hugs, daily prayers. We are standing in the gap with you.

Where you are right now, the way you write about it, reminds me forcibly of how I felt when I found out I had a brain tumor. (Just shy of four years ago now). That sea change wrought new paths I could not have foreseen; as well as changes I knew had to come; and also, also paths that are amazing and wonderful that I would not alter if I could.

I suppose what i am saying is .... Don't close the door on the ship right now. Not just yet. Forever is a long time. For now, for today, for this week, month, season, year you are in this new place. But it might not be forever. Let God carry the future, let Him carry you today.

Ali stay happy these days and enjoy those kicks of life and the joys of Zoe experiencing life. The Lord has a plan for you and Phil and we have to be patient which is so difficult as you stated, not knowing! Take one day at a time and thousands of people around the world are praying for you and your Family! God bless and my prayers and hugs are coming your way.

Hi Ali, I'm not sure if you would remember me or not. I met you at Camp Iroquoina C&C retreat many years ago when I drove down with Dennis LeBlanc. Gui Richard is my brother. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I am really appreciating reading your deep honest thoughts on how life is for you dealing with a baby with so many health issues. I am 21 weeks pregnant and just found out our baby has an atrial/ventricular septal defect. She will definitely require surgery at birth if she makes it until then. So my journey is just beginning. I just thought maybe you'd feel encouraged by another mama who is walking a similar road and we have the same God watching over our sweet babies. He is so good to us through all of this. Take care and I'll be praying for you and your family!

Thankyou for your honesty and courage, you are enabling me to love and support a young mother at my church, who is going through a similar pregnancy. You are helping me to understand her pain and fears and to trust in God wherever the journey takes her and her son.
Bless you.

Wow, I had never heard of heterotaxy before Ethan, and I just ran across this family's Facebook page. I thought you might get a little lift from seeing this sweet baby's chubby smiling face. Praying for you all.

Praise Jesus! Just started following from my friend Kristen's blog. The road is long but Jesus will give you all that you need to carry on! If you need anything baby related as your family makes the change to land please let me know.

Hi Phil and Ali,

I am a physician living in Philadelphia with 4 kids. I would love to meet you guys if you are still in the area. I almost went to Sierra Leone on Mercy Ships back in 2000. Email me back if you are available.
