Ali, I've been reading your blog a while and have to say this is one of my favorite posts! I still laugh out loud when I re-read it :-) I work peds ICU in a large hospital and have been wanting to work with Mercy Ships for a long time. Stories like this move me to come even more! Thanks for sharing God's work with the rest of us :-)

Ali, you just described how my little two year old new york boy would have acted in that exact situation. Right down to the running out of steam and falling asleep on your shoulder. Kids will be kids, naked and dangly and all! You breathe such life into your stories, and strike a chord in my heart with each one. Thank you!

That is one of the cutest things ever!! I can just picture it. No nakie in the hall-that is all.

On an aside, I've heard that if you can't wash your hair, run hair sanitizer through it, let it dry and brush it out. Proven by moms sleeping in PICU's everywhere.
