Ali, thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. I'm very blessed to be able to see how God is leading you to grow and giving you new insights for the ministry He's called you to. My prayer is that He will continue His work in you and work through you to help many.
This is wonderfully written. Thank-you so much for writing it. This should be mandatory reading material for anyone going overseas to do any missions or humanitarian work.
oh wow. i got goosebumps and tears and sorrow...and joy...and...wow. ali, that was incredible. i am so grateful for the gift of writing that God has placed in you because i am one of many recipients: your example is ever-challenging and as the Holy Spirit has been stirring me similarly i continue to be overwhelmed by many new and confusing emotions. how i long for the day when we are blind no more! ...when we stand before the throne with people of all languages and nations, colors and backgrounds. ...when we watch Christ move among them and us knowing each of our stories more intricately than we know them ourselves. ...when there will be no more pain, no more suffering, no more confusion, no more hopelessness, no more sorrow, no more hurt, no more death, no more SIN! hallelujah!
...and so i wait for that day and thank God for your words that continue to challenge me to open my eyes.
