This brings such joy to my heart, and you describe it so beautifully. Running through my mind (selfishly) is "What can I do to experience this first-hand." I am an experienced "Queen of the Latrine," so maybe next time I come to the Africa Mercy I can clean Deck 3 :-)

I love how you put us there with the joy these women experience. Here in the USA we have no idea the pain of living with VVF and the complete change of their future the surgery makes. I need to be reminded all too often how blessed my life is, though I deserve it not one bit.
