Hey! I know you're winding up and will be busy in these last few days. I have to let you know how I love to read these pages and feel like I'm in Africa with those little ones for a few minutes.
I had to go to the 5th floor of the Children's Hospital this week to teach a transplant patient his discharge instructions. On the way there, I looked into one room and a little girl was in bed, on her stomach. One arm outstretched toward the IV pole and her little bum up in the air as she watched TV and I thought, "I just have to get back to working with kids." And so I love your stories and your pictures.
I hope you and HoJoy have a great trip and I keep you both in my prayers, along with all the patients you write about.
Hi, Ali! Hope you are well! I see that you are an angel to the the patients you are serving:). IDK what cell phone service or internet service you might have there, but I recently found this super translator that works on iphone (John Butrico found it for the android as well). Its the google translator from Nibiru Tech. It is awesome for many languages! You just type in what you want to say and it translates it quite well! It even teaches you the language better because it translates what is in your mind - you get instant feedback! Don't know how it handles what language your patients speak but its definitely worth checking it out:) Take care and Vaya con Dios!
