She is so beautiful, and looks so happy and well-loved. I'm curious about when you will be able to return to working as a nurse, because I can't imagine how you miss the wards. Will child care be available when Zoe is a bit older?

It sounds like organization is a necessity (and I can see from the photos that it is), so does the ship equip you with all those bins and other storage items? Do they let you pick and choose or do some cabins come set up for a baby? I can't imagine you brought all of that with you but if you did, how did you do it?

At what point does having a kid rate you a bigger cabin? When she is a toddler or when you have a 2nd or starting kindergarten?

Can Zoe go with you to visit the wards and do activities?

Having a baby on board the ship does seem like a huge change.

I'm curious about the basics...how do you get diapers, and how will you do baby food when the time comes?

Also, is there a school there or do all the families homeschool? I think any glimpse into the life of the kids on board would be very interesting.

You might enjoy the blog zachaboard.blogspot.com, especially the links at the bottom of her "The Boat" page that show where they keep everything. Verrry different boat from yours of course.

It is nice that you have so many places that you can just walk to. Sometimes by the time we get loaded into the car, drive somewhere, and then get unloaded, I feel like it's about time to turn around and go home again. :-)

And last but not least, Zoe is adorable!

She is BEAUTIFUL. The smile! Congratulations. Now, I have a ridiculous question, but one that has been bothering me all week. How on earth do you wash long hair in a two minute shower? How?!

Love reading from you guys! But seeing the picture of you tiny cabin makes me a bit mad, I know at least two bigger cabins on board the AFM that are probably vacant, the 'captains' cabin behind the bridge and "Don Stephens" cabin, but hey, i guess you'r ranks don't qualify.

Rutger - there's actually a family in the Don Stephens cabin at the moment, and I think the captain stays in that other cabin during the sail. There are a couple other ones that we have our eye on, so hopefully by the end of the field service we can move into fancier digs!
