That reminds me of a time when DH and I were camping and we had to pay per 5 min of water. We couldn't turn it on and off, once started, you got 5 min. So, we alternated - he ducked in, got wet, then stepped back and shampooed, while I got wet, then he rinsed while I lathered, etc. I was amazed that we both managed to get clean in 5 min of water. As you said, no shaving though.

I like to think we are kindred spirits with similar lives, but the reality is that we just have more in common with each other than either of us do with people living the normal American life. Here in Haiti we take bucket baths. You get to fill up your bucket with water and then use a dipper to pour it over your body. However, if we have public electricity the hot water heater is on and I take a "regular" shower just like the one you described in this post. I haven't ever timed it, but two minutes of water sounds about right.

I'm so amused and delighted and touched that you answered this! I can't imagine showering this quickly, but then again, I live in Yorkshire, and the thought of standing in the shower with the water off makes me all shivery.
