Oh I remember the bone tired days, trying to convince myself and a shower was an accomplishment. Those years went slowly for me. But I swear, once they start moving time speeds up until suddenly you trying not think of how little time is left before they move out. Have a great weekend.

This is so sweet!

Yes, these little blessings need us over and over again.

Sleep often eludes us, but we can catch up when we are older.

Blessings,
Beth

It will always be. My boys are 21 and 27. I will always be their mom. I'm on the other side. Enjoy the ride! When you wake up tomorrow, enjoy the ride again. Miss you Mercy Ship friend. =)

I think about this most days. She's up now and then there are x hours until naptime and then she needs a bottle and then we'll read a story and play in her exersaucer and then blah blah until bedtime. Some days I wonder if we'll make it to bedtime. Then I set her in her crib sleeping and go downstairs to throw in a load of laundry and I look at her sleeping peacefully on the monitor and I MISS her. I miss her little coos and the way she smiles at me when I sing a silly song and I want to wake her up and kiss her and smell her. Ah, motherhood.

It's true, bone tired is hard. But you obviously are enjoying each stage with it's hard times and beautiful moments. Take heart, the hard stuff doesn't last forever. Soon enough someone will ask you about her sleeping habits at 5 months and you'll have to stop and think. It'll be a distant memory. Just think, you may even be well on the way to a full 12 hrs sleep in a row!! Or at least more than half way! :-) I love the updates, Ali. The crew here doesn't stop praying for you guys!

This is so, so, so true...as mama of an eight-month-old, sometimes I feel like I've been doing this forever--like, literally, WHAT did I do with all that unnoticed "free time" before she was born?! It's so hard to remember, sometimes, how important these tiny, monotonous, neverending moments are...and that they will end someday. {Right?!}
