a world away in the surburan USA, my neighbors house burned down last night. she and children are safe. my twins are praying for her as am i. although it's against the rules i told my girls could have fun dip in their lunch as long as they promised to eat it after school. Funny to read your post this am. Seems fun dip is universal. be well and God bless. i remember those nights! my twins are 7 now, you will sleep again, don't worry.
Oh goodness, a little cold doesn't hold much weight against a house fire, does it? I was 6 when my neighbour's house burned down and I remember how frightened I was for weeks afterwards when our house still smelled of smoke. Fun dip would totally have been in order; I'm glad your girlies got to have some. As an added bonus of living in community, I woke up to another pack taped to my door this morning! I'm going to hoard it for the next no-sleep night.
Adding my prayers to yours for your neighbour and her kiddos. Thank God they're all safe.
Man oh man, I hear ya! We stopped swaddling Lainie Rae cold-turkey the same week we tried (unsuccessfully) to let her cry it out. I could not see past the present moment of endless crying. I felt like I was stuck in Groundhog Day and Mike and I would never have a quiet moment to ourselves. Ever. Again. Lo and behold, she DID learn to sleep unswaddled, and eventually we tried crying it out again, and it mostly worked. Hang in there! Babies have a way of throwing all our most cherished dreams of plans, predictability, and routine at the foot of the cross. Which, I suppose, is where they ought to be anyway. I'll be praying for Zoe to get better quickly.
