Goodness, what an adorable baby. OH, and the look on your faces!

Love at first sight!

Hopped over from #fmf and LOVE this. This quote: "And piece by piece she's putting me back together as we build our right here together." Wonderful to meet you.

Ali, your blog posts routinely make me cry. I may not be living on a boat, but mothering this fiercely independent infant daughter makes your posts ring true time and time again.

So glad I stopped by from FMF Ali! I'm wondering if you know my friend Tracey Wall (who is also on a Mercy Ship in West Africa). You hit the nail on the head with this: "straining to keep a fingertip's hold on my life here while the only thing connecting me to the ones I left behind is a single toe that's wedged just as tight." My husband and I lived as a family in Africa from 2006-2011 and we both lived there before we were married...always on land, though. But that sentence captures perfectly the life we live. I'll put it in my pocket and take it with me. I'll be back!

The world gets smaller every day, I think. Tracey is my very dear friend; she lives right across the hall from me! I'm pretty sure the reason my child does half the things she does is because she's watched Cora master them first. :-)

So glad you stopped by - I love hearing how connected we all are. Say hi to Tracey for me when you see her; we're missing her something fierce over here.
