Well, I haven't given up the Internet, but I realized by addiction was to Facebook, so I'm giving myself a break from it for the rest of summer, probably. I can email to keep in touch, Twitter to get little bits of news or updates from friends, and then ... read, do crafts, study, hang out with people in people! I'm definitely looking forward to the creativity that will come from this alone! Cheers in your endeavor!

Ali,
Thanks for the shout-out! Well said. It's a real-feeling addiction, isn't it?? Blessings to you in your own recovery! :-)

Aaaahhhhhhh...you just plunged me over the edge. Been having twinges of realization that I'm obsessive compulsive when it comes to my online habits - Facebook, reading blogs, chasing down elusive rabbit trails via links galore, etc etc. Going to attempt (& bumble, I'm sure) to join you in rehab.
Best Wishes to going dark! :-)

The problem for me isn't all the facebook posting. It's all the checking and re-checking all day everyday. Funny how 20+ years ago, there was no such thing and I survived just fine. I think I may join you in this challenge, just to see if I can! I think I can. I think I can. I think I can. =)
